After the hustle and bustle in Ho Chi Minh City, you definitely will find the peaceful beauty in Quy Nhon - a lovely city with a long and curved beach, the extensive Thi Nai Lagoon, the peaceful Han Mac Tu Poet’s grave and so on. Quy Nhon is an interesting stop for you.
1. Ky Co Beach
In Quy Nhon there are many beautiful beaches, including many beaches that have not been invested much in tourism yet still retain the original inherent wildness. If you are looking for a rustic beauty, Ky Co beach will be the top suggestion for you.
Ky Co is not very large but it reminds many people of Ha Long Bay because there are many rocky rapids with crystal clear water. How wonderful it is to be soaked in that cool water in the summer!
2. Eo Gio (Wind Waist)
Eo Gio Nhon Ly is also a beautiful beach of Quy Nhon. This is a quiet, peaceful place, an ideal destination for traveling all day.
3. Hoang Hau (Queen) Beach
As its name suggests, Hoang Hau beach is beautiful. Visitors will have a wonderful feeling when your bare feet touch the round smooth stones, like giant bird eggs, lying on each other on the beach.
4. Hon Kho
This small island is located 16km from Quy Nhon city center, which is home to Nhon Hai fishing village residents. Every rainy season comes, big wind blows, and the whole island is covered in sea waves and white foam. In the dry season, Hon Kho is gentle with small waves, gently patting the lush green grass fields.
5. Cu Lao Xanh (Green Island)
True to its name, Cu Lao Xanh, a small island in the middle of the sea, stays green all year long. Cu Lao Xanh has a pretty ancient lighthouse built from the French colonial period, located on the mountain top of the island, 119m high.
6. Trung Luong picnic area
Trung Luong picnic area is about 30km from the center of Quy Nhon city, in the territory of Trung Luong village, Cat Tien commune, Phu Cat district. This is still a quite wild and quiet land. It has been recently put into use for camping purpose for both locals and tourists.
7. Han Mac Tu poet’s grave
It is a garden to remember the poet Han Mac Tu. This place is beautiful with many different kinds of trees, most notably aspen. More specifically, when you visit Han Mac Tu's grave, you will find poems written on large rocks around the grave, as a tribute to the master poet.
8. Twin towers
The twin towers were originally a Champa architectural building, located on Tran Hung Dao Street. This tower consists of two parallel towers, the 20m high Northern tower and the 18m high Southern tower. The twin towers were devastated and badly damaged, however, in 2008, the government built and restored these two towers in its original architectural style.
9. Hon Seo
Hon Seo is also a beautiful island of Quy Nhon, located about 5km from the mainland. Unlike other beaches that often have sandy beaches attached; Hon Seo beach is a rocky beach with different shapes and sizes of rocks. Underneath the clear water, there are countless coral reefs and a system of different marine species, especially snails, which is ideal for diving trips.
10. Phuong Mai Sand Hill
Phuong Mai sand hill is located right next to Nhon Ly beach, a large sand hill stretching at an altitude of 100m above sea level. Standing on the top of the hill, you cannot only see wide sand dunes, but you can also see the surrounding beaches and enjoy the cool breeze from the ocean with the salty taste of the sea.
It is best when you come to Quy Nhon at the end of spring and early summer. There will be no drizzling rains in the spring but instead the gentle sunshine of the summer. Especially at this time, Quy Nhon beach is beautiful; the number of tourists coming here is not so crowded as in the summer so you fully enjoy the beauty of the coastal city.
