The best time to visit the Dancing cave is during harvesting time (from May to July), as the paddy fields will turn from green to yellow. Cuc Phuong National Park is the largest national park in Vietnam, and it is one of the most important preserved sites for the biodiversity of the country. It is located in the area of three different provinces, and one of them is Ninh Binh. As Cuc Phuong is a typical tropical rain forest, the visitors will be attracted by the beautiful old trees and the diversity of flora and fauna there. There are various durations of time during the year that is suitable to visit Cuc Phuong, however, some weeks in the late of April to the early of May is the reproductive time for the butterflies, hence you might have a chance to see thousands of them “dancing” in the air.
SON DOONG CAVE, QUANG BINH PROVINCE
Son Doong cave with 150 meters wide, more than 200 meters high and nearly 9,000 meters long is the biggest natural cave in the world. The entrance of the cave was first discovered by a local man in 1991 and then was officially explored by scientists and announced to the public in 2009. The collapsed roof of the cave gives a spectacular view for its discoverers and adventurers with the scenery of a rainforest inside the cave.
From 2013 until currently, Oxalis Adventures has become the first and only licensed company to run tours into the cave. With around US$3,000, people will have a six-day trip to explore the cave.
