10 reasons why you should travel to Nhatrang, Vietnam. If you wanna spend gorgeous days on the beach, think of Nha Trang . Vietnam’s most popular beach destination, Nha Trang, the capital of Khanh Hoa province, is located on the south central coast of Vietnam, just over 400 kilometers northeast of Ho Chi Minh City. A train journey of as little as 7 hours or 45 minutes by plane delivers travelers to the best BEACH city. Here are 13 reasons why you should seriously consider paying Nha Trang a visit:

1. Endless Beaches

The downtown core stretches along six kilometers of palm-fringed white sand and the brilliant turquoise waters of Nha Trang Bay – and it’s all free. This is where you get the best sun tan, enjoy the splashing waves, make awesome videos and photos, and smile with friendly people around in swimsuits.

2. Various food options

The pay-by-weight fresh seafood is a must try in Nha Trang, as are some of the delicious local eats found outside of the tourist area. Between streetside eateries, restaurants, and upmarket hotels, there’s no chance of going hungry in Nha Trang. For more in-depth explorations of the city’s dining options, eat with the locals or splurge on five-star buffets at the hotels or international restaurants along the strip. You can try a local specialty - bun ca, a simple noodle soup with rice vermicelli, fish broth and fish paste meatballs.

There are convenience stores and minimarts on every block for all your self-catering needs including milk, cheese, bread, instant noodles and booze. Also, delicious cheap beer!

3. Great range of accommodation

Nha Trang does give visitors many different options for accommodation. You can choose an international five-star, a backpacker hostel or something in between. The downtown core is where you will find the greatest concentration and range of accommodation, from $6 hostels and the ubiquitous skinny local hotels to international chain behemoths that occupy prime real estate along the coast. Staying downtown usually means a short walk to the beach. Furnished serviced apartments are on the rise; they can be booked whether you want to stay a few days or a few months, and they are great for families or those who like home-type comforts.
TIP: Families travelling with children can book luxury villas with easy access to Vinpearl Land's amusement and water park, at Vinpearl Resort and Spa Nha Trang Bay. One package will be considered much cheaper than taking the services separately.

4. Plentiful transport options

It’s easy to get around Nha Trang. You can rent a bicycle or motorbike. You can use cheap, air conditioned city bus to get you to tourist places Vinpearl, Cho Dam market, Po Nagar Cham Towers, and Chong Rocks. Xe om (motorbike taxis) hang out in every corner. Taxis are also plentiful. Grab is a favorite online app for taxis in Nhatrang. Or if you’re not in a rush, cyclos (three-wheel bicycle taxis) are a classic, fun way to tour the city in the evening.

5. Mineral-rich Mud Baths

Nha Trang’s mineral-rich clay used is said to have therapeutic and skin healing benefits. After being bathed in sticky mud, you take a shower in cool waterfalls. Then, you finish off with a refreshing dip in the hot mineral pools. If you even want to be more relaxing, book a coffee massage or a chocolate body wrap. The most popular mud bath is at I-Resort, where you can enjoy a huge water park with slides, pools and thrilling watersports. All in all, it is a fun-filled day for everyone.

6. Island Adventures

You can save a day during your trip to get out into the bay and see the islands just off the coast. Hon Mun Island has many coral which is ideal for scuba diving. Several other islands are Tre Island, Mieu Island, Salangane Island (Yen island), Monkey Island, and Hon Tam Island offer to tourists many joyful activities and beautiful sights.

Vinpearl Land on the Hon Tre Island is a resort island with a water park, amusement park, a large 5-star hotel, and a top-notch golf course. Best of all, it’s accessed via a stunning cable car ride – the longest in Southeast Asia.
