Where is Vietnam Immigration Deparmtment?

Vietnam Immigration Department is a function bureau that belongs to the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security. Focusing on approving, supervising and disciplining Vietnamese citizens and foreigners immigration for entering and exiting Vietnam. This Department is also a place where issuing Vietnam visa on arrival and E-visa for foreigners.

Accordingly, all Vietnam Embassies and Consulates abroad have to co-operate with the Vietnam Immigration Department to issue Vietnam visa or any documents related to Vietnam immigration.

Vietnam Immigration Department

In short, Vietnam Immigration Department is a bureau that issuing the following documents:
+ For domestic Vietnamese citizens:
- Ordinary Passport
- Confirmation of Identity Card
- Permanent or Temporary residence in other countries
+ For oversea Vietnamese or Foreigners:
- Vietnam visa, Vietnam visa extension, Vietnam visa renewal
- Vietnam visa approval letter, Vietnam e-visa code
- Guarantee to migrate to Vietnam

For each province, they will have a separate immigration office. However, for providing Vietnam visa, people have to apply at 3 offices in Hanoi (the North), Danang (the Central) and Ho Chi Minh (the South) as below:

Working hours:

Morning: 8 am - 11 am

Afternoon: 1:30 pm – 4 pm
