- A Vietnam visa: required for US citizens when entering Vietnam. There are three ways to get a Visa to Vietnam for US citizens including 
 Vietnam visa on arrival (VOA), Vietnam Electronic visa (|E-Visa) and Vietnam visa at Vietnam Embassy. However, Vietnam visa on arrival is the best way for them.
- Type of Vietnam visa: US citizens can get a  tourist or business visa for 1 month, 3 months, 6 months or 1 year. For single entry or multiple entries. 
- Processing time: Travelers can get a visa within 02 working days in normal service. Even they can receive the visa letter in 1 working hour in emergency service. 
- Normally, Travelers are allowed applying for the visa letter no earlier than 6 months before the date of departure
 

Vietnam visa requirements for US Citizens
 

- Passport has at least 6 months validity and two blank pages
- Two passport size photos with white background and a The straight face, taken within 6 months
- The entry and exit visa form
- The visa approval letter is for boarding the airplane and entering Vietnam

- Tourist visa: US citizens can easily get  Vietnam tourist visa with the cheaper cost even they can get the tourist visa for 1-year multiple entries with only from 40 USD. 
- Business visa: For this visa, some nationalities can get maximum for 6 months but US Citizens can get for 1-year multiple entries visa. 

The processing time for visa on arrival will be divided into:
- Normal service: 2 working days
- Urgent service: 4 - 8 working hours
- Emergency service: 1 working hour
- Overtime/Holidays: For the day off and time off
