According to the new policy of Vietnam Immigration Department, If you are US citizens would like to visit Vietnam, you will have a chance to get the visa letter with cheaper price and can take the visa letter for 1 year in an easy way. 
Normally, other nationalities can get a tourist visa for 3 months in maximum but for US citizens, travelers can apply for a tourist visa for 1 year. 
How to apply for Vietnam visa on arrival for US citizen?
In order to get a visa letter, applicants need to complete the following steps:
- Step1: Complete the online form in tab: "apply Vietnam visa" the make the payment after reviewing your application
- Step 2:  Receive the visa letter + entry & exit visa form by email within 02 working days in normal service 
- Step 3: Get visa stamped onto the passport at Vietnam airport when presenting the visa letter + completed entry & exit form + original passport + 02 passport size photos and stamping fee in cash.

Stamping fee will be public with this following types:
- 25 USD/person for visa 1 month/ 3 months single entry
- 50 USD/ person for 1 month/ 3 months multiple entries
- 95 USD/ person for 6 months multiple entries
- 135 USD/ person for 1 year multiple entries

- Required documents: no required
- Processing time: 02 working days in normal service, 4-8 working hours for urgent service, 60 minutes for emergency service.
