The list of International Land Borders Gate of Vietnam

An international land border is a place that allows foreigners to enter Vietnam by all means of land transport. At the moment, the foreigners can get Vietnam visa on arrival at the land border with an original visa approval letter and this case is only applicable for those who still stay in Vietnam and would like to renew a visa.

This article will present the land borders of Vietnam that foreigners should know to come back to Vietnam with a visa on arrival by land. Vietnam has land borders with 03 countries |(China, Laos, and Cambodia) as below:

I. THE LAND BORDER BETWEEN VIETNAM AND CHINA


- Lao Cai Border Gate: Located in Lao Cai Province - The Northwest of Vietnam
This border gate is in Lao Cai city, about 45 km away from Sapa. The gate connects Lao Cai Province of Vietnam to Yunnan Province of China. Especially, there is a railway from here to Kunming. 

- Mong Cai Border Gate: Situated in Quang Ninh Province - The Northeast of Vietnam
Mong Cai Border is situated in Quang Ninh Province, about 176 km from Ha Long city and about 327 km from Hanoi. People can go there from Ha Long by a long highway 18 then across to China through Mong Cai Border.

- Huu Nghi Border Gate: Situated in Lang Son Province - The Northeast of Vietnam
Huy Nghi Border Gate is 17 km from Lang Son center and about 171 km from Hanoi

- Dong Dang Border Gate: Situated in Lang Son Province - The Northeast of Vietnam
This is the most famous and busiest International Border Gate, connect Lang Son of Vietnam to Pingxang Province of China. There is a railway from here to Nanning and Bejing of China

II. THE LAND BORDER BETWEEN VIETNAM AND LAOS


- Tay Trang Border Gate: Situated in Dien Bien Province - The Northwest of Vietnam
It is about 33 km from Dien Bien Phu city to Tay Trang Border Gate by the road 279 then across to Phong Xa Ly district of Laos

- Na Meo Border Gate: Situated in Thanh Hoa Province - The Southwest to Hanoi
It is about 270 km from Hanoi and about 100 km from Mai Chau Valley. The gate connects Thanh Hoa Province of Vietnam to the Houaphan of Laos.

- Nam Can Border Gate: Situated in Nghe An Province
This gate links Nghe An Province with Xieng Khouang province of Laos

- Keo Nua Border Gate: Situated in Ha Tinh province
This is the popular gate for tourists who wanna travel to Vientiane (Laos) from Hanoi (Vietnam)

- Lao Bao Border Gate: Situated in Quang Tri Province
This gate connect Quang Tri Province of Vietnam to Savannakhet province of Laos

- Cha Lo Border Gate: Situated in Quang Binh Province

It connects Quang Binh Province of Vietnam to  Khammounan province of Laos

- Po Y Border Gate: Situated in Kon Tum Province
The Gate links Kon Tum Province of Vietnam to Attapeu province, Laos. It is about 40 km from Ngoc Hoi District

 

III. THE LAND BORDER BETWEEN VIETNAM AND CAMBODIA


- Le Thanh Border Gate: Situated in Gia Lai Province
The gate connects Gia Lai Province of Vietnam to An Dong The Province of Cambodia. It is about 73 km from Pleiku city along Highway 14.

- Moc Bai Border Gate: Situated in Tay Ninh Province 
It is about 70 km from Ho Chi Minh City along Highway 22A to Moc Bai Border Gate then across to Cambodia

- Sa Mat Border Gate: SituatedinTay Ninh Province
This is another border gate between Tay Ninh of Vietnam and Cambodia. You can go along the highway 22B from Go Dau across Sa Mat Gate to Cambodia

- Dinh Ba Border Gate: Situated in Dong Thap Provine
It is about 107 km from Cao Lanh city, go along the highway 30 from Hong Ngu Town to Dinh Ba Gate across to Bontia Chak Cray of Cambodia

- Tinh Bien Border Gate: Situated in An Giang Province
It is about 25 km from Chau Doc Town along Highway 91, across Tinh Bien Border Gate to Cambodia

- Xa Xia Border Gate: Situated in An Giang Province
It is about 70 km from Ha Tien Town of Vietnam to Kampot Provine of Cambodia
